Micro Powerhouse Sprouts!

 

Whether you dive into keeping a jar of sprouts on your counter regularly or purchase them, they are a powerhouse of nutrients ready to top most meals! We add sprouts to salads, soups, sandwiches, cheese, veggie dishes, and egg dishes.  You can buy mixes of sprouts or single varieties. I love the large dense crispness of sunflower sprouts with eggs or on top of fish. Tiny broccoli, alfalfa, and lettuce sprouts are bursting with vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, and K. You can even sprout lentils and eat them raw on salad or as a crunchy snack.

Consuming a mixture of raw and cooked vegetables daily is essential to good health and nutrition. They offer copious vitamins and minerals while increasing dietary fiber. Sprouts are a great addition to any healthy diet routine.
