Quick Snack

I am always looking for a quick snack after work. I teach all day and am always starving around 3pm or 4pm. I am not interested in carbohydrates but like to add in a few greens and protein. 

I keep romain lettuce in my fridge at all times. They make the perfect bread substitute! Here I stuffed my romaine with peppered turkey, pickled onions, avocado, and sharp cheddar. 

Trifecta: greens, protein, and culture or spice!

Other options: Bacon, lettuce, & tomato. Ham, mustard, cheese, kraut. Sausage, fermented hot sauce, and fresh onion. Feta, ground turkey, and mayo ( homemade).

 

*Yikes, don’t look too closely at those cuticles!
