Radish are always in season!

Radish are easy to grow!

Radish are healthy and versatile!

They run from mild to spicy and in-between. My three year old loves them! I prefer them dipped in salt but many dip them in sauces or butter. It is a healthy crunchy alternative to ships. They pair well with brunch, lunch, a snack, or dinner. I have been using them more and more in soups and roasting them with other root vegetables. They loose their bite and become sweet when roasted.

I have used them in ferments for years. They add crunch and mass to many ferments but also pack a pungent smell. I am used to it but it is strong so be ready. If you are prepared for the smell it is not offensive but if you are not ready for it, it can  be a bit surprising. Add them to your kimchee, pepper ferments, or all alone!
