There are plenty of fresh herbs at my local farmers market and it is also June so my garden source of fresh herbs are in full glory. Herbs add HUGE flavor and nutritional value to your meals. I add them to everything! Eggs, sandwiches, salads, soups, meats, potatoes, pastas, tea, when making broths (add parsley for instance the last ten minutes of making stock and you add calcium).
This is my chicken soup GAPS recipe. I added chopped rosemary ,parsley, basil, and cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice to my chicken soup with carrots, celery, chicken, wild rice, and navy beans.
Those of us looking to add big flavor without adding lots of calories herbs are the way to go!
